Fathiya Saleh

Fathiya is a stand-up comedian, writer and actor. Described by Chortle as “an absolute delight”, Fathiya’s cheeky, charming and refreshingly bold comedy has brought her to venues all across the UK and established her as a rising star on the comedy circuit.
Born and raised in North West London to a Somali mother and Yemeni father, Fathiya’s comedy offers her own cutting perspectives on topics exploring cultural identity and family dynamics, the absurdities of everyday workplace life and challenges, what is like being one of the “girlies” and navigating the world as a young Muslim.

In 2022, Fathiya was a Funny Women finalist and part of the BBC Comedy Asian Network. This year also saw her form a part of the Comedy Queen’s sold-out UK tour performing at O2 Indigo Greenwich and more. In 2023, she provided comedic material on series 5 of Jack Whitehall’s ‘Bad Education’ and performed in Riyadh, as part of the ‘Riyadh Laughs Comedy Festival.’

Most recently, Fathiya was listed in Dua Lipa’s Service 95 magazine as one of ‘5 Artists Bringing A Fresh Perspective To The Comedy Scene’, and described as “one of the most underrated yet exciting performers on London’s live standup scene”.
